THE LSRF 2025 PROGRAM IS HERE
New year, same motto: let's live slow & ride fast
New year, same motto. It is time to announce the 2025 program for racing, riding and recording. At Live Slow Ride Fast, we like to shake things up every now and then, by adding new adventures to our program and choosing new regions to discover. But we also love our favorites, so this is how it's going to be.
Now your man LtD isn't the youngest anymore, so don't expect a full UCI calendar. The juggling between training, recording the podcasts, fulfilling the media needs of the company, the new job as national coach of the female cyclists and having a personal life with family and friends demands a fresh look on things. Less races, but more adventure. By so, the focus will be shifting more from multiple short and fast gravel races towards less events but of longer distances. Not only Laurens will try and show the best of him. Also Stefan, Thomas and Willem will participate in some of these events. Our media team will try to keep up with their pace as much as possible to create the movies and content you'll want to see.
Speaking of media content, from February till March, the team will film the trio's endeavors in the Race around Rwanda, a bike-packing race with four checkpoints, covering 1000 kilometers and 18.000 meters of elevation with start and finish in Kigali. We can't wait for those images! After this race, the coverage of the spring classics in Belgium and Strade Bianchi in Italy is on the menu. In April, we will be back with Villa Vlaanderen and, new this year, Villa Amstel..
The month of May and June are pretty much all about racing. Starting with The Traka in Girona, Spain (distance to be determined) and following up with the UCI Gravel in Valkenburg, the racing will continue in the USA with Gravel Locos and UNBOUND XL. In between those races, Stefan and Lau will be sure to cover the Giro d'Italia with their podcasts. In June, the Race around the Netherlands will be an exciting new adventure for Laurens. This bike-packing race is a fully self-supported do-it-yourself challenge over a distance of 1950 kilometers.
July = Tour de France and by now, you know that means VILLA TOUR. The team will be covering every stage with a daily podcast, sharing their in-depth analysis of the riders and their performance and add that little French joie-de-vivre we all love during this period.
August starts with some must needed rest and family time by then, but at the end of the month, going into September, the Vuelta will take off and our focus will be on this big race. An extra film project, which is still under embargo, is also planned during this periode and yet to be announced. The end of the month of September is totally dedicated to the World Championships Road Cycling in Rwanda, with Laurens on site as head coach of the Dutch women's selection.
In October, it is time to celebrate the European Championships Road Cycling in the Ardeche, France and last but not least, the World Championships Gravel in Nice, France. We kinda put our mark on that event last year in Leuven, so we are definitely planning on creating the same buzz and afterparty in France..
During this year, we aim to launch two new LSRF cycling collections, one in spring and one in fall, to keep us comfortable and fast during training, racing and chilling - and for you to enjoy too on your cycling adventures.
We are looking forward to this upcoming year, with new and exciting challenges and film projects, but also familiar trips that never let us down, a calendar full of cycling races to cover and so much more stories to tell.
